NC-Free Packaging
Traditional nitrocellulose inks, long used in packaging, come with significant risks. Over time, they can degrade into nitrosamines, which are recognized carcinogens, posing a potential threat to human health. In addition, nitrocellulose-based materials are highly flammable, creating safety concerns during manufacturing, storage, and transportation. At Wahren, we have proactively addressed these challenges by adopting NC-Free inks and materials across our pharmaceutical packaging. This not only helps us safeguard patient health but also reduces environmental hazards and ensures compliance with the most stringent global regulations. By moving beyond outdated practices, we reaffirm our commitment to packaging solutions that protect people, products, and the planet.
