Aclar® blister film is a high-barrier pharmaceutical packaging material designed to provide superior protection against moisture and environmental conditions.
The film is produced by laminating Aclar (PCTFE – Polychlorotrifluoroethylene) film with PVC, combining the excellent thermoforming properties of PVC with the outstanding moisture barrier performance of Aclar. This multilayer structure ensures enhanced product stability, improved shelf life, and reliable protection for moisture-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
Aclar blister film is specifically designed for pharmaceutical blister packaging applications. The film is thermoformed to create cavities (blisters) that securely hold tablets, capsules, and other solid dosage forms. The formed cavities are then sealed with aluminium lidding foil to protect the product from moisture, oxygen, and external contamination.
