Wahren Push-Through Foils (PTP)
Push-Through Foils (PTP) are manufactured by Wahren. These foils are specially designed for pharmaceutical blister packaging applications where tablets or capsules are dispensed by pushing them through the foil.
PTP foils are produced from high-quality aluminium foil coated with heat-seal lacquer and pharmaceutical-grade primers, ensuring strong sealing performance with blister films such as PVC, PVDC, Aclar, and Triplex films. The foil provides excellent protection against moisture, oxygen, light, and contamination, while allowing easy push-through opening for the end user.
Advanced coating and processing technology ensures consistent seal strength, superior barrier properties, and compatibility with high-speed blister packing machines used in pharmaceutical production.
Applications
Push-Through Foils are widely used in pharmaceutical blister packaging for sealing blister cavities containing tablets, capsules, and other solid dosage forms.
